The Weekly Smile 12/16/19

The last 3 weeks have been a blur-some days seeming slower than others, but since Thanksgiving it’s been go go go. Shall we catch up?

Thanksgiving with my grandma in Colorado. I just want to be with her. I miss her and my family so much.

Annual Nocona Christmas parade. But this year it was cowboy Santa filling in. She was quite a good sport.

Two of the pictures from my family session this last Saturday. They are such a wonderful family!

Then we went to our annual Santa Land trip. It was an emotional one for me, as I struggled to understand why people act the way they do towards family. Or not act at all. But the lights are always beautiful.

I really wanted to go back to Colorado for Christmas, but we just don’t have anyone to take care of our zoo.

This is Adam. While we desperately search for Oreo, we are going to get another rescue. He’s a little younger than cookie, but should do well in our chaos. My prayer is that Oreo is home for Christmas. Then it will be two girls, one boy, and lots of love. As far as cats go. Oh to just be able to take them all.

I helped Austin make his alien last night for science class. His design, my second degree glue gun burns. His alien lives on Saturn. Or one of the moons. No comment in the last minute drama stress.

Kids are out of school early this week, so it should be interesting. A few more gifts, wrapping, first aid course, and holiday family get together anxiety. With a meltdown or two of my own. You busy?

No offense, but I’d rather be in Colorado than Texas myself 😉 I love the mountains! Adam does look like he wants to be a part of the family. Hope Oreo is OK. Some nice photos and I can tell, a lot of smiles.

  2. Looks like a lot of fun was had! I think that because Thanksgiving was so late this year, it has made the last few weeks seem so busy and so FAST!
