This is the paper wasp nest we watched all summer. From every stage and it was amazing. This year, I finally was privileged to see the new being escape its enclosure. Sadly, this one didn’t seem to have enough stamina to make it out. Yes I know they can sting. But there is that part of me that feels sad for this little worker. They were created to do a job, and what they bring is fascinating.
