Not A Given

The stream wasn’t flowing from summer rains. The sun was masked by the clouds, but the peace was contagious. Naturally, God’s seasonal artwork was still intoxicating. Even as the dark greens hollered out for attention among the warming browns as if they could possibly be ignored.

As I attempted to capture the stillness the plopping of splashes interrupted my quiet, and then of course my excited brain shifted to capture a good splosh!

Thank you to the young boys you can’t see on the left of the hill throwing the rocks and giving me the great chance to get this photo!
