Never Ordinary

As I was looking through the photos I took, this one particular stopped me. It’s not overly amazing. I took it through my kitchen window so the clarity could be better. What most won’t see is the post from my pastor this morning asking everyone what they are thankful for today.

And as I was editing this, the yard sign in the background had my attention. “Thank God for small favors.” I brought that home from my grandmother’s house after she passed.

And the bird of course seems to be pondering. Maybe it’s just listening for its friend. But I’m so grateful that I can see beyond a “bird” or a “sign” and know there’s nothing ever ordinary about what we see.

  1. Wonderful. A slice of your life, with two ordinary things making an uncommon picture together.

Excellent. The bird, too, is Nature’s small favor for your viewing pleasure.
