Grab The Umbrella

Oh I felt the sprinkle

And the slight change in wind-

When you came around the corner

And the the lightening began.

The drops became heavy

And the then there were gusts-

As the rain pounded my flesh

I shook with thunder thrusts.

I could find no cover

Once the hail stones pounded-

I succumbed to the bruising

Only the silent alarm sounded.
