Yesterday’s news

Is the same as last year-

Your imagination

Is my nightmare-

Those lies coming

Spewing from your lips-

Is the truth you

Continually twist

Tell them it’s me

I’m no good-

Fits your storyline

Just as it should-

Wrung out of love

There is no more-

I must leave

I can’t be your whore-

The one you drain

With fantasy guilt-

The one with whom

This pretending life you have built-
