The Weekly Smile 11/23/2020

It’s Monday and I’m ready for Wednesday-cause then I get a few extra days off.

Last week was crazy with my daycare-a few of my kids were feeling like testing their limits-every single day. All day long. One of those weeks that seems like it will never end.

Saturday the kids and I helped our local non profit sort food for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. I went as their photographer, and the kids went to volunteer. Cause I told them to. And yes they whined, but they worked hard. I want them to have a sense of community responsibility and the desire to help people cause it is so rewarding. It took about 4/5 hours total. But it really was great.

I would have liked to see their faces. They were not required to wear these-it wasn’t long before they came off. Thank goodness.

They got to pick their food of choice afterwards-they earned it.

Last Monday was my middle’s last football game. I miss it already. Although he’s glad it’s done. He pulled something in his back two days before the game and running was not feeling good.

Every year, our church does the local potato drive to help with The Spirit of Christmas. Each family will receive 10lbs with the other items and a Turkey for Thanksgiving. It just so happens that by a turn of events, I got to take photos for the church of the loading of taters. I believe they said we had somewhere between 1500 lbs! Made my heart happy!

Then we filled 1/2 the back of a truck bed.

These girls (the middle one is mine) had no problem taking the initiative to jump inside and help. Cause being in the back of a truck for a kid is always cool.

And last night I finally had some time to start working on a customer’s frame.

It’s not done-but it’s going to look great!

Wednesday my daughter had her first counseling session to deal with the crazy boy from school. She was relieved to finally have someone to express herself with. I may have to change schools for her. Not sure yet. But having to look at this kid every day is not helping her. She has her next one today, and she is looking forward to it.

Hoping this week is a little less bumpy!

I like that the children helped out and worked hard even if they were told to do so. They received the joys of participating.

That’s so awesome all that you do, and it’s good to see the kids help. They will remember these days. Happy Thanksgiving! Great smile post! ❤️ Diana
