What If

I noticed tonight during the bedtime routine, that my daughter had a lot more anxiety about things than I knew. As we were talking about our upcoming trip, she was filled with the “What If” questions. None of them were positive. I tried switching it to have her say it with a positive.

Her: What if I wake up from bad storms again?

Me: What if you sleep right through it?

Her: What if I get scared?

Me: What if you don’t hear the storm?

Her: But what if I do?

Me: But what if you don’t?

She just couldn’t grasp the concept. So I have some work to do.
