The Weekly Smile 3/2/20

Well this last week well that moment seemed very slow, went by rather quickly. Actually the weekend went by really fast.

So the black-and-white photos that I entered we’re not chosen to be displayed. And I should be OK with that. I’m not as OK as I should be, but I also understand the reality that there are people out there that will be better than me and it’s OK.

Saturday I was able to begin work on a commission piece because the weather was finally cooperating. I spent the majority of the day refurbishing the frame.

I went and upgraded my phone since I was eligible. There was nothing wrong with my other phone but the camera on my new upgrade works much better and has awesome night features. It sets automatically. Here are just a few examples.

Yesterday I did my first head shot session for someone. I was a nervous wreck, did not really have an idea exactly what to do, but it was fun and it turned out fabulous. At least I didn’t complain and they paid me in full so I take that as a good sign. Here are some examples of those.

I’m sure I’m forgetting something. But it was a busy weekend trying to get ready for the next two weekends where I will be showing my artwork. and coming to terms with the fact that my baby is going to be 17 this month.

  1. I don’t know if there are others out there that are better than you. I have seen selections, and after seeing all the entries thought why did they pick the ones they did? There were others that I would have picked. So, sometimes it is the people doing the pickings preference and not a reflection of the quality of your pictures 🙂 The head shots are wonderful. You did a great job 🙂 For what it is worth I always love, and get great joy out of your pictures 🙂

I’m sorry your photos weren’t chosen. There’s next time. I like what you posted. It is amazing what phone cameras can do, and those night shots are atmospheric.
