The Weekly Smile 2/24/20

This last week was a doozy. My oldest son went from meds for a sinus infection, to passing out and the paramedics coming to my home, to another office visit at the doctor, testing positive for Flu A, and being monitored at Children’s Hospital cause his heart wasn’t quite beating right. 😳 I was pretty much done after that. All the while my youngest was on antibiotics for a left ear infection. Then she bag an coughing like a long term smoker, and woke up at 4am today complains of ear pain. Back to the doctor and this time left with a different antibiotic for a right ear infection. Oh and yes I was sick too-upper respiratory then hit with sinus infection then some crazy but virus while I’m on antibiotics that presented as strep. Did you catch all of that??

I’m smiling tonight because my son is better. My girl-she’s a hot mess but will get there. My middle boy has remained healthy through it all so far. And I splurged ($10) to join a digital black and white photo contest. If you enter things often, the fees can be a lot. Hence I don’t enter haha. I should know by Friday if they are accepted. I submitted 6 images. Would love your feedback.

I prefer the gate post in the picture. No one else does. But it’s my picture so it stayed.

Now I’m tired lol!

Wow, what a week. I hope everyone is doing better this week! I like all of the photos, but perhaps the dandelion and the back room are my favorites. The post on the first, I would like to see just a little more of it, but I understand why you like it. Good luck!

  3. My what an adventure y’all have been on. All I could think was, when it rains it pours 🙂 The photos are amazing! I saw the fence post immediately, loved it, then read your caption. I’m glad you kept it 🙂 The clouds are stunning too. All fo them are wonderful. I pray you will all be back to, I was going to say normal but who is really normal? So, I pray everyone is back to themselves quickly 🙂 🙂

Wow, that’s a lot of sick for one mama to have to deal with! I hope you, all of you, are better soon! I caught some sort of crud while we were on vacation in the Southwest and I still haven’t shaken it. I suppose I should go to the doctor, but I’m pretty sure it’s just a cold. Winding down, now only cough (Like a smoker) a few times a day instead of nonstop.

I love your black and white photos. Don’t you think that old things just lend themselves to black and white? I like the gate thingy in your first shot too, makes it more interesting that way, otherwise it’s just another front elevation of an old house. Anyone can do that, but to have the creativity to include a bit of the gate, well, THAT’S what makes you a photographer!

    • Thank you so much! I think we’re finally on the mend. Although I have some other stomach garbage this weekend. Unfortunately my black and whites were not chosen to be shown but that’s OK. Thank you so much for loving them!
