The Weekly Smile 1/13/20

It’s been pretty nutty, and I’m glad I finally have a chance to catch up, even for a moment.

Nailed It!!! I had my state registration inspection for my home daycare this past Friday. And yes I was worried, but I knew God could have closed this door a long time ago. But it’s me and was still on edge. But I passed with 100% and no deficiencies!! So lots of paperwork to keep up with and training hours, but I have a year to do them. Whew!

All 3 of my kids made excellent grades on their report cards! I’m so proud of them. I actually enjoyed school; maybe I’ll go back sometime.

Our youth pastor took this for me. I had no idea she was getting an award. She now has one to match her brother’s he earned in elementary. Proud mama.

One must not overlook the heavy snowfall we woke up to Saturday. For my part if Texas, it was fun.

Tonight was pork chops with multicolored carrots and cauliflower with green beans. I really need to slide back on the carbs. Being gluten free means there are options I shouldn’t have. My daughter ate her required carrot serving and joyfully announced,” I ate it and it didn’t kill me!” 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ can’t you be fat and healthy? I’m not poking fun-I’ve heard it but not sure I buy it.

I think that’s all for now. Must close befor I pass out! Mama

Looks like you had a lot to smile about. Cool that your kids are doing so well in school. I was a weird one too – for the most part I enjoyed school. And, yeah, go back some time – going back as an adult is interesting: I did much better taking college courses as a 30-something or 40-something than as a 20 year old!
