Cold Comfort

This is right now. If it’s gonna be cold could I have some snow? The wind is insane. I need to put a fire on. But I’ll probably fall asleep before it’s done, and I don’t want to be wasteful.

So instead I’m having a second bowl of this…

Cabbage roll crockpot soup! I used riced cauliflower instead of long grain rice. The recipe called for bacon, but I didn’t have any. It’s still really good, and a small amount of cheese and sour cream is my bonus. I’m including the Pinterest link below.

Now if I can just sleep through the night…

Is that green dot on the map you? Many years ago I lived in that area. I have a cousin in a place called “The Colony” on the other side of that lake and I believe the other cousin still lives in Arlington. I lived in Irving (actually, Las Colinas) for 6 months. My relatives lived in a tiny town called Celina (I think my aunt is still there) before moving in closer to the city. Anyway, stay warm!

  2. It’s headed our way and will be here tomorrow. Glad I got all the coats, gloves, hats, and sweaters washed and brought back into the house this past weekend 🙂 Just in time for the freeze warning hahaha 🙂

You are SOO close to my sister and my parents. My nephews and niece all went to Lake Dallas! CRAZY SMALL! (my daughter now lives in Frisco)

Yuck! It’s supposed to be in the teens here tonight. I’m not looking forward to winter. The soup looks delicious! I’ll have to try that.

  5. Hey Kammie, are you any where near fort worth? That is where we are relocating to and I am looking for a real estate company who can find us a rental. I have been googling this for days and at the end of my rope. Where I live, it is so small we have a dozen companies that do rentals so it’s easy to look up and find what is available. I tried the main sites like apartments.com etc with the same confusing results. Any suggestions?
