Busy week. Always. I can’t remember if I told you, but the giant mirror painting went to its new home last Friday. I can’t wait to share the picture of it hanging in her home. When I get it LOL. But now you can see my fireplace and it seems empty. And I need a new mirror. Although I’m the only one in my family who thinks I do.
Yesterday, my boy passed his driving test! So we will be headed to the DMV sometime this week!
She’s headed to school to do her Veterans Day program. Thank you everyone who has fought to keep us free.
I almost got rid of this frame. It was a dark maroon and my board did not fit inside. And then I had the idea to do something a little bit different. So I painted the frame white and adhered the board to the front. I personally think it looks neat.
I went to a friends opening art show this weekend, and she introduced me to the owner. After looking at some of my old school rusty car photography, she said she would like to do a show with me sometime in March. I’m not sure what all this entails yet, but I’m super excited. I met a few people from the City Council board who was there that she’s worked with in the past. I’m so honored that she thought of me.
I took two pictures that were given to me and turned them from a store bought print into an original abstract. The first one, the flower print, is the one that was purchased by someone from the store. The second one is the one that I painted. The post on my picture page on Facebook is to show that you can spend money on something that’s not an original, or you can spend the same amount on a one of a kind for the same price and support your local artist.
I’m sure there’s something else I just can’t think of it. I hope everyone has a good week!
