No More Tickets

A little bit scattered

Leftover scars

Splotches of mistrust

Appearing as jailhouse bars

This time you lost

The wound may have reopened

But no blood was spilled

I’ll not allow it to be deepened

You thought me a fool

An ignorant pawn

Truth always prevails

Sooner or later and I’ll carry on

I am not the fault

I am not to blame

Your lies circled round

I’ll not carry your shame
