Morning Caffeine

Today I woke up to the beautiful surroundings of Lake Catherine National Park in Arkansas. I got some pictures, but not of my coffee.

We are now on our way to Tennessee. We’re headed to Kentucky to the Ark. And camping all along the way! I grew up camping in the mountains with both sides of grandparents, great aunts and uncles, cousins, and it’s something that I yearn for. I want my kids to be exposed as much as possible. My youngest has had more opportunity than my older ones, but I’m getting them out there every chance I get. And I love seeing them hike, run, and enjoy the outdoors.

Last night we hiked to see this beauty. Today my hamstrings are pissed, and it feels great! I could live near these places and spend all of my free moments exploring. I want them full of family outdoor memories.

We are on day two. So far the only major issue is my moody teenage boy. I just want to hug him, and he wants to be left alone. That kills this mama. Prayers and ideas appreciated! I did manage to get a pic this morning.

And then he went back to grump mode.

I hope you all have a great day! God Bless❤️

  1. I will pray because having had a teenage boy, I still wouldn’t know what to suggest 🙂 They grow out of it??? Hehe 🙂 That probably isn’t helpful but making a joke is my go to coping mechanism 🙂 The water fall is wonderful. I love them. Hubby can get me to go anywhere if he tells me there is a waterfall at the end of the trip 🙂
