The Weekly Smile June 24, 2019

So I sit here attempting this post again; as the first one disappeared. And my daughter is in crisis mode over eating her pot roast. And the daycare kids thought it was crack day-I’m pooped!

So my biggest smile was from last night. After we ate, we followed the storms to see if I could get some lightening pics. No famous chasing, just something for my soul.

I was still a little disappointed in my ability to hit the button fast enough. But this is better than nothing. (Geez I sound ungrateful)

If you look close at the last picture, you can see the lightening bolt hit the pole. Obviously it was close. I didn’t want to give up, but the kids were whining and I knew I needed to go to sleep. So hopefully more opportunities will present itself soon.

The first one is very cool. I’ve never tried to capture lightning, but then it is a little more difficult in the heavily forested hills…
