The truck was running, so while they walked with the dogs, I could stay in the warmth.

I remember finding these at the top of some crispy stems. I was quite impressed with still how determined they were to show themselves in full bloom. Still intensely beautiful. I did not touch them, out of fear the would crumble and fly in to the wind.
Looking back, you can always find warmth amidst the season of dreary.
