Daily Word Challenge: Expectations

Expectation is a strong word that can cause strife in relationships of all kinds. But let’s not linger on the negative right now.

We went on a mini road trip yesterday, with two still under the weather kids, to satisfy my expectation of snapping some new photographs, and lifting the kids’ spirits. For the most part, expectations were met.

I ran across the highway attempting to get this sunset picture over the Brazos river. Outside of the gorgeous colors in the sky, the reflections are fabulous.

No comment on how many sticks/thorns I found in my leg after taking this one. It was worth it.

Oh yeah, I ran across the highway for this landscape capture too. Hmmm, maybe I should re-think some of my impulsivity. But this is simple and beautiful.

One, I didn’t know I was shooting this in black and white. Two, he was not overly thrilled at my persistence to take his photograph. Three, I was more stubborn. And when I checked and saw this, my expectations were more than I had anticipated.
