Found

We always get excited when we find money dropped on the ground. Especially kids. It doesn’t matter if it’s shiny or rusted or sticky. It can be chipped and slightly bent. It can show signs of erosion. And it doesn’t matter. They found it.

I feel like this is how God sees us when we find Him. Most of the time we are finally tired of being broken and dull. We are crawling on the ground in filth and sin. Our hearts and Spirit have signs of worldly erosion. We no longer have the ability to look up.

We realize that our ways are not His ways. So we surrender and cry out.

““This is GOD ’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as GOD: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭33:2-3‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Through our devastation, He shows us hope. He reminds us that he does not require perfection and cleanliness to come to Him.

We are the ones guilty of forgetting, and in Him we find our riches.
